Preparing Healthy Breakfast For Your Kids: 6 Ideas

If you feel like your aim of serving a healthy breakfast to your kids is too often hindered by the hassle of the daily routine, we’re here to help. Here are our best breakfast ideas for kids, including simple egg-based breakfast recipes and other easy-to-make breakfast recipes. We chose them all with convenience and good nutrition in mind.

1) Breakfast Smoothies With Fruits

What You Need:

– Blender
– Bowls

Ingredients:

-Water
– Oatmeal
– Banana
– Frozen strawberries (or other frozen fruit of your choice, but fresh fruit can be chosen as well)
– Optional: coconut flakes, cinnamon, nuts, sesame seeds, or flax.

Preparation:
Put one cup of oatmeal in the blender, then add one cup of water. Slice the banana into small pieces and mix it in with the rest of the fruit. You can use any fruits you prefer, but bananas are essential for a creamy and rich texture.

On the other hand, if you use a lot of apples, it will have a watery texture. This is also delicious, but you have to love it. Turn on the blender and blend until smooth. To save time, you can also prepare the smoothie overnight and keep it in the fridge. Serve the smoothie in bowls so that the kids can have it with a spoon. You can also add a teaspoon of coconut flakes, a pinch of cinnamon, some flax and sesame seeds (and a few nuts for me).

2) Hot Oatmeal With Apple and Cinnamon

What You Need:
– A pan
– Bowls

Ingredients:
-Water
– Oatmeal
– Apples
– Raisins
– Cinnamon

Preparation:
This is one of those breakfast recipes that many kids love. Even better, it can be prepared in just a few minutes! Put as much oatmeal as you need in the pan and pour water over until it just slightly covers it. Set the pan over low heat and constantly stir to prevent the oatmeal from clumping to the bottom. Once the water is boiled, turn off the heat and grate the apples as it cooks. Put the oatmeal in a bowl and stir in the grated apple, cinnamon, and raisins. You can top it off with a sprinkle of flax seeds for more nutrients.
