10 Tips to Help Your Children Be As Healthy As Possible

Children today are exposed to many diseases that were previously only adults, the good thing is that we can almost completely avoid that risk. Our children learn everything from home, that’s why we must take into account some valuable recommendations so that they grow up healthy, mentally, physically and emotionally.   1. Teach by Example

Don’t smoke, drink or overeat, or do anything you don’t want your children to do.  They will copy what you do, not what you say.

This is not to say that if you don’t smoke they won’t smoke, but if you do it is much more likely that they will.

  1. Teach Them to Drink Water

Do not give them sweetened drinks, children do NOT need refined sugar at all. Give them plain or flavored water with pieces of cucumber or fruit, and remember that if you drink soda they will drink it.

  1. Teach Them to Cook and Enjoy Their Food

Make vegetables the basis of your diet. Teach them how to cook healthy food and delicious dishes that they enjoy.

  1. Teach Them Learn to Love Their Body

It is important that they do not see that you criticize yourself or that you live on a diet rejecting your body. Let them realize that since they are already perfect, they don’t have to change anything to be loved.

  1. Let Them Eat Real Food

If there’s only real food in your house, they’re going to eat that. Every time you go to buy food for your house, remember that you or someone you love is going to eat it. And there you decide: is that what you want the people you love to eat?

  1. Explain the Benefits of a Healthy Lifestyle

Children understand more than we think and, unlike us, they love each other and want to do things that are good for them. Many children, when they understand what happens to them with sugar, avoid eating it. This does not mean that you should scare them with good and bad food, but simply that they see the benefits of giving preference to food that nourishes them.

  1. Get Them into the Habit of Exercising from an Early Age

That at least 2 or 3 times a week do 1 physical activity that is more than just playing with friends.  For example, a karate class, swimming or 20 minutes of aerobic training with you. These tips will help keep your children healthy.

  1. Limit the Use of Electronics, They Do Not Need Them

Do not give them a phone, iPad or other electronics until it is essential. Teach them the value of reading, playing, painting, assembling, etc. More than 20 minutes a day of electronics has been shown to interfere with brain development.

  1. Teach Them to Meditate Every Day

For example, imagine breathing in the fragrance of a flower for 5 minutes, while inhaling and exhaling deeply.

  1. Teach Them to Be Kind and Grateful

Both emotions are the most powerful and healing there is. A grateful person is a happier person. In this way, you will be able to keep your children much healthier.
